CABINET CO.
Budgeting
When considering a project involving cabinets, it is helpful to know approximately how much you will spend on cabinets. By measuring the linear feet of cabinets needed, you can determine a rough estimate of that cost!
Cabinet Pricing by Linear Foot
The national average cost of cabinetry per linear foot runs about $100-$650 per linear foot for semi-custom cabinets and $500-$1200 per linear foot for custom cabinets. Our semi-custom cabinets usually end up between $350 and $600 per linear foot and our custom cabinets are between $600 and $1200 per linear foot. Use the following steps and tips to measure how many linear feet of cabinets you need for your project!

Please note that we cannot guarantee that your project will be within this price range as there are a variety of factors that can change and increase the cost.
Measuring
By using a tape measure and having a rough idea of your floorpan, you can take some measurements to give you a starting point for cost! To find the linear footage of cabinets needed, measure in feet along the face of all cabinets, upper and lower. Make sure to measure only the front side of islands and peninsulas (not the back or sides). These measurements added together are your linear footage. Use that number and multiply by our price ranges to find out how much your project will cost. For example, if you will need 30 linear feet of cabinets, semi-custom cabinets will be between $10,500 and $18,000. Custom cabinets will run approximately $18,000 to $36,000 for 30 linear feet.
Uppers vs. Lowers
There are a variety of factors that can change the price. While the linear footage provides an approximate number, the first factor to consider is the number of upper cabinets vs. lower cabinets vs. full height cabinets. Upper cabinets tend to be simpler and will be less expensive. Lower cabinets are usually more complex and will probably require more time and resources during production. Full height cabinets such as wall oven cabinets and pantries are obviously larger and will cost more. So if you require more lower cabinets than uppers, your project will most likely end up in the higher end of the range.
Additional Factors
Do you need any specialty cabinets such as glass doors? The more custom, the higher the cost. Higher end materials and hardware can also increase the price. Be aware that while there are some amazing features out there, they can end up putting your approximate cost closer to the higher end of the range.
Installation Costs
Please note that while we do offer installation (depending on location), the installation costs are not included in these price ranges. Every job is different and installation costs may vary widely. Please discuss your project installation with our estimator.
